So forgive me folks if I seem a bit lazy on the old updating of this page, but things are a little busy. I have just started a new job and have now upgraded from part time work to full time, so my website has taken a back seat for the time being. However I am continuing to read the bible on a daily basis and I am 'trying' to say the rosary more regularly, as I feel this devotion to Our Lady brings me a great deal of peace and hope.
One quote I am fond of from the bible is as follows: 'Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his presence continually' Psalm 105:4
I hope this update finds you well and once I have more news, I will be sure to update you. Until then God bless love from Anita xx

Alcohol Addiction : The way forward to recovery
STOP PRESS: Just wanted to say I am now 20 years sober - Hoorayy!!! To celebrate my sobriety I have had a cake made by my wonderful friend Katherine and here it is...
Becoming sober and staying sober, has been a great achievement for me, but it is one that I never take for granted. I truly believe that without God protecting me, I do not think I would have been able to be successful in my recovery.
My life now is blessed and I feel so grateful for everything, that I remind myself to keep things simple and to pray my serenity prayer to keep me grounded on a daily basis.
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity, to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference Amen.
If you or someone you know, are experiencing problems with alcohol the following organisations may be able to help:
AA -An organisation that helps people through problems relating to alcohol in a confidential manner.
Double Impact - a registered charity and not for profit organisation, providing a service to promote recovery and community integration, for people who have experienced problematic drug and alcohol use.
Below is a blog I wrote last November, but I feel it is relevant so I have published it below enjoy:
Don't be afraid to move on in life.

[Don't be afraid to move on in life.]
As a catholic christian I am often envious of those people who can seem to stay in one place for many years. I am not that kind of person and I am happy with that. I have never really been able to fit in with various groups that meet up repeatedly for events and various agendas, I just find the whole thing too tiring.
As someone who also suffers from depression, I have found that the Holy Spirit is leading me towards a new beginning through my website wwww.thegospelbutterfly.com
This has given me new hope and inspiration to reach people in a different way. Don't be afraid to be different, because none of us are the same. Remember that God loves you as an individual and always has a plan for you if you ask him.
